What is notarization?

A notarization is a formal process that verifies the authenticity of a documents signature, ensuring that the person signing is who they claim to be and is doing so willingly and with full understanding of the contents of the document. Notarized documents are often required for legal transactions, such as deeds and powers of attorney, to prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of the documents involved.
